In structure the vesiculse seminales are composed of three coats:—external, which is fibro-cellular; middle, which is firm, dense, andfibrous; and internal or mucous, a thin mucous membrane, presentinga delicate reticular marking, like that of the gall-bladder, and investedby a squamous MALE ORGANS OF GENERATION. The organs of generation in the male are, the penis and the testes, with their appendages. * The posterior aspect of the male bladder; the serous covering is removedin order to show the muscular coat. 1. The triangulararea, bounded by the vasa deferentia and vesiculse seminales on either side,a dotted line above, and the numei-al 3 below, is the space correspondingwithi the trigonum vesicte. It is this part of the Isladder which is pierced, inpuncturing the bladder through the rectum. The dotted line, forming thebase of this triangular area, marks the extent of the recto-ve^ical fold of theperitoneum. t It has been customary hitherto, in works on anatomy, to describe thecourse of excretory ducts as proceeding from the gland, and passing thencet
