June 5, 2019. - Russia, Moscow. - On 31 May 2019 the President of Russia signed a decree to add the names of notable Russian people to the names of some 40 airports across Russia following a national vote. In total, over million people took part in the vote. The Sheremetyevo International Airport is now officially known as Sheremetyevo - Alexander S. Pushkin International Airport.
