A huge wild male tiger cools off at a lake, at the Tadoba Tiger Reserve, India. Temperatures post monsoon can still reach 35 degrees celcius, and unlike most cats, tigers love the water. India: A TIGER was captured swimming towards a gobsmacked photographer's jeep as it stealthily used the water to stalk them. One image shows the head of a Bengal tiger bobbing above the water as he wades through the cooling water. The Royal Bengal tiger can live to be 20 years old. They can weigh up to 570 pounds and reach a body length of 83 inches. These images were taken by photographer Talvinder Chohan (41) at Tadoba Tiger Reserve in India, using a Canon EOS 1DX camera. ?Wildlife photography is all about patience as you are on the animals' terms . I had to simply wait and try to predict the tigers next move,? said Talvinder. ?We knew the tiger has made a coalition with his brother so would likely join him for a hunt, so we placed our jeep accordingly hoping for the best. ?As the sun got lower, I took the opportunity to make a few portraits as the tiger sat calmly in the water. ?However, we could not believe our luck as the tiger swam right towards our jeep, which was parked on a bank. ?As he swam closer, we could see his huge, muscular frame, and beautiful blue eyes. The most striking moment was when he gave a look over his shoulder as he glided by. ?There was a beauty, but also a vulnerability in his mediadrumimages/TalvinderChohan
