GULF (Nov. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jamila Maynard, from Bronx, , inspects a crate of supplies in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Maynard serves aboard Ike as a logistics specialist and is responsible for inspecting all newly acquired supplies, sorting mail and distributing hazardous materials. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
