This boardhas a loose piece at the top, which by resting on the head of the tubprevents the patients face from being immersed. A rubber sheethaving been placed on the bed by the side of the patient, the boardis laid on top of it, and the patient is then readily slid by a lateralmovement on to the board, lifted up, and immersed in the tub. Afterthe bath is over, the board is lifted, with the patient upon it, as highas the edge of the tub, a loose piece of board is slipped transversely Fig. 64.
