The Saxons wherever foimd are firm ad-herents of the Lutheran faith, and it is wellto mention the Bruckenthal Palace, turnedover to the Saxons for educational purposes. This palace, besides its valuable library andmuseum, has twenty rooms filled with paint-ings—a Memling, Van Eyck, Titian, VanD>clc, Franz Hals, and others. During thefirst part of the war all the museums andart galleries in Hungary removed their valu-ables to safe quarters.
