What Dr. Smith thought of his people and church inJamaica was acknowledged in his eloquent sermon at theconsecration of the Church after the erection of the newsanctuary in 1902. One of the most important works for Grace Church atthe close of Dr. Smiths administration was the publica-tion by Mr. Henry Onderdonk, Jr., of the Antiquities ofthe Parish Church, Jamaica, with a Continuation of the. l\v\.
