Flower buds of swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) infested with oleander aphids (Aphis nerii). Eggs of green lacewing (fam. Chrysopidae) are on the left, each suspended by a fine thread to avoid canibalism when the larvae hatch. The lacewing larvae, called aphid lions, will feed on the aphids after hatching.
