A ship on the Firth of Tay passes Grey Seals basking on Tentsmuir Sands in Fife.


Tentsmuir Sands is an extensive area of sands and sandbanks of eastern coast of Fife 4 miles ( km) southeast of Tayport and extend from Tentsmuir Point in the north to Eden Mouth in the south. Immediately to the west lies the nature reserve at Tentsmuir Forest. Half of the world's population of grey seals are found on and around British coasts with approximately 2000 in this are.
