One of seven sculptures set on high poles in Place Masséna in the centre of Nice on the Côte d'azur. These works by Jaume Plensa CONVERSATION À NICE 2007 are constructed of Polyester resin and stainless steel and stand 12 meters above the square. The statues are translucent and are illuminated at night. Nice is the 2nd largest city on the French Mediterranean coast and capital of the Alpes Maritimes department. Place Masséna is the main square of the city much enlarged in recent years a modern tramway passes through the square which now pedestrianized and decorated with public art works. The square is bordered by red ochre buildings of Italian architecture and is adjacent to busy shopping streets
