The church life of our own and other denominations inPittsburgh is of the best- The city and its suburbs, includingmore than forty of our own congregations, afford an excellentexample of the Church at work. In all the denominations thereligious thought is conservative and the methods of work pro-gressiva. The pulpits are well manned and the work generallywell organized. The student has a great op-portunity to study the methods of many men who are widelyknown as successful ministers of the gospel, and to gatheruseful lessons for his own ministry. The Carnegie Libraries and Reading Rooms, Art Gallery,and Museum are open to students, and the opportunities of theLocal Young .Mens Christian Association, including its excel-lent lecture course, arc placed gratuitously at their Allegheny County Sabbath-school Association is one of themost notable in the entire country, being alive to all modernimprovements, and from year to year it provides courses oflectures on Bible Instruction and Sabbath-school methods bythe most notable instructo
