This may denote the remains of a passageor defence of some kind to the entrance, but without an excavation it isimpossible to state. Within the limits of a visit no extensive clearings could beattempted. We might have gone a little farther, but, towardsevening, the clouds commenced to gather over Tralee Bay; the moun-taineers whispered significantly of the discomforts of a night on themountain. Our meteorologist gave orders to pack up, and so, reluctantly,we left Cahcrconree. It is to be hoped that careful excavations may atsome time be made along the
