Central Moscow, Russia, GeoEye-1 satellite image. North is at lower left. The bridge across the Moscow River (top) leads to Saint Basil's Cathedral and the State Historical Museum at opposite ends of Red Square. Seating in the square (either side of Lenin's Mausoleum) is for the Moscow Victory Day Parade. The Kremlin complex is at upper right, and Lubyanka Square at lower left. At upper left is the demolished Rossia Hotel, with the glass roof of the Moscow Gostiny Dvor exhibition centre below it. Image obtained on 9 May 2010. The US-operated GeoEye-1 satellite is the world's highest resolution commercial Earth-imaging satellite.
