An early Byzantine iron banded helmet, 6th century, cm wide headband, the upper edge riveted to the three-piece skull comprised of two side parts and a crest band. The circumferential headband fastened at back with three rivets, the crest band with the side pieces on either side with five groups of three rivets arranged in an inwardly pointed V-shape. One of the side parts with a smaller loss at the lower edge, the other with several losses at the crest band.
