Shady first saw the light of day inStrasburg. Graduated from S. H. S. in1917 having taken an active part in ath-letics there. Believing that he might be somewhatmedically inclined from association with histwo uncles (Physicians) he came to M. C. the fall of 1917. After a few weeks ex-posure to city life he began to show symp-toms and slowly developed a genuine case ofA regular city man. The way seemeddark and rugged at first but by perseverancehe won out and proved faithful to his workas well as a loyal friend. He hopes to practice in the ShenandoahValley but we think that such a plan is con-ditional, depending on whether or not he cando one of two things : Either to extend thevalley to Hagerstown, Md. or persuade acertain known per cent
