Another curious, heavy, lumpy insect common in the neighbour- hood of Paris. It is distinguished by rows of flat spatula-shaped hairs on its body and legs. It also affects mosses. This genus also is represented in Spitzbergen, a species named H. reticulata having been described by Thorell. Genus Cepheus {Koch), Same character as Notaspis, but the tectum attached to the cephalothorax only by its base.
