Hand Faller Marc Levasseur removes individual pine trees infested with the mountain pine beetle near Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. The program is run by the Alberta Sustainable Resources Board. The area south of Grande Pairie was surveyed by helicopter in the late summer of 2012 and red trees were marked by GPS. THen green infested trees within a 50meter radius were maked with a pink flag to be cut and burned in the winter
