A percussion rifle/shotgun combination, August Schlosser, Fürstenau, circa 1770. Side-by-side octagonal barrels in mm calibre, one smooth bore and the other with seven-groove rifling. Patent breechblocks and silver front sight. There is silver-inlaid vine decoration and the signature, "A. Schlosser in Fürstenau" on the breech. Lightly engraved, converted percussion locks with another signature. Single set trigger for the rifled barrel. Beautifully carved walnut half stock with patch box, a star inlaid in horn on the cheek piece, and chiselled bronze furnit,
