Mathematical artwork. Computer artwork based on polynomial equations. This style of visualisation is known as polynomiography and was created using software written by Bahman Kalantari, associate professor of computer science at Rutgers University, USA. Polynomials are algebraic equations of constants and variables that can be subtracted, added, multiplied and raised to a non-negative power. This image is based on the polynomial 10z(/\\48)-11z(/\\24)+1, where z is a variable, 1 is a constant, 10 and 11 are coefficients (combination of both number and variable) and /\\ indicates an exponent. Polynomiographs have been used to assist school students learning algebra and exhibited in galleries.
