In the use of the high-frequency current, Iapply a binaural electrode to each pad and connectthe electrodes by a single cord to the positive primeconductor of the high-frequency coil, and securecontraction of the tensor tympani muscle by placinga rheotome in the electric circuit—applying two tofour hundred interruptions per minute—and treat-ing the patient daily for ten minutes. Of these two currents, I cannot say which is themore effective, yet the fact remains that one mayproduce beneficial results after the other has failed. Case 1. Rev. S. J. W. consulted me September14, 1904. His hearing has been failing for eighteenyears; constant drumming tinnitus. Has had drycatarrh for twenty years till four years ago, whenthe turbinates were removed. Hearing Distance: E. E. = conversation attwelve feet. L. E. = conversation at six inches. Rinne -f, L. E.
