Milton Friedman (1912-2006) American Economist and recipient of the 1976 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Friedman received the Nobel for his research on consumption analysis, monetary history and theory on the complexity of stabilization policy. Friedman was an advisor to the American President Ronald Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. His books, articles, television programs and lectures had a global influence and he has been considered to be second-most popular economist of the 20th century.
