Coldstream bridge. River tweed.

Coldstream bridge. River tweed. Coldstream is situated where the River Tweed forms a natural boundary between Scotland and England. Much of the town's history arose because of its location on the border and the continual feuding between the two need to get your feet wet when crossing the River Tweed ended in 1766 when James Smeaton built the seven-arched Coldstream Bridge a short distance downstream from the village. This was sympathetically widened in 1961. The great outdoors.
