Multifaria . October The lights are turned low in the stillness—not even a the Freshmen, all covered with weeping,An organ recital is heard. Again we go to the chapel. Again are the lights turned dim. On the screen we see pictures of India, As we go through the country with Kim. Then hark! What is this that befalls us?A tragedy swoops from the limit weve never expectedIs put on our muffin But life is too short to bemoan evening, all whitely arrayed,The Freshmen appear from MiamiIn a wild woolly night-shirt parade. Then music appears to enthrall

What is this that befalls us?A tragedy swoops from the limit weve never expectedIs put on our muffin But life is too short to bemoan evening, all whitely arrayed,The Freshmen appear from MiamiIn a wild woolly night-shirt parade. Then music appears to enthrall orchestra truly, I have men from the far distant cityFor our masquerade on Hallow een. 16 And following this, in the beech-woodsWe sing of our college and classes,While an Indian war-dance surrounds usPerformed by some wild Western lasses. And only that morning in chapel,Embarrassed a trifle, but stillAll smiling, five quite perfect babiesReceived each a five-dollar bill. 17 Then College Day—Hail to the Freshmen,And hail to their yellow and blue! They win in their basket ball playing,And their stunt is a victory too. 30 All suddenly politics swamp us. We eat, sleep, and drink of in the gym and the chapel,Nor yet does our interest wane. 133 *C«J lffll§ lss!: iir=3E
