Rufous collared sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis) perched in a tree. This American sparrow feeds on the ground on seeds, insects and spiders. It is found from Mexico to the southern tip of South America. American sparrow are more similar to buntings and finches than Old World sparrows. Photographed in in Tierra del Fuego, South America.
