Old box of Victorian Christmas crackers featuring an illustration of birds in the snow carrying - and pulling - the crackers

Printed lid of a box of Victorian Christmas crackers made in great Britain by Tom Smith's and Co, c. 1870-90. It features an illustration of birds in the snow (presumably red robins). They are wrapped up against the cold with overcoats, scarves and hats and are carrying - and pulling - the crackers. The words explain that the box contains comical hats, caps and bonnets, plus Christmas riddles - nineteenth century graphics
