Upper part of tower early C11th, nave & lower part of tower probably earlier. On the S face of the tower the belfry opening has two round-arched lights separated by a baluster mullion. There are three circular sound holes, one in the tympanum & one to each side. There is a string course below the opening & a high level doorway below that. The doorway has a monolithic arched head, & projecting imposts & bases which link to the stripwork surround. The lower stage of the tower has an original round-headed window on S face. The chancel (not visible) & S transept (R) are C13th, the S porch C19th. The church is a Grade I Listed Building in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
