BOBBINK & ATKINS RUTHERFORD, N. J. 34 Evergreen 8brubs and winter presenting an attractive appear- ance. It grows from 3 to 5 feet high, and nearly as broad. The flowers appear in early spring, in advance of almost all others and of ordinary vegetation. They cover the numerous branches with a sheet of small pink blossoms tinted with purple, and are very effective. The plant is entirely hardy, and especially desirable as supplying an abundance of blossoms in April and May. "We have paid special attention to the selection of specimens, and have collected a fine lot of them during the summer, which arrived in a splendid condition. Too little attention has so far been paid to these Azaleas, as they are very useful for bor- dering drives and edging beds of taller Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Then we have also some very fine specimen bushes for tubs, vases or the lawn. From 50c. to $ each. Write for prices in quantities. ANDROMEDAS. A, Catesbaei. The most useful shrub for planting under trees and in shady places. One of the- most interesting and attractive of ornamental shrubs. The leaves are oval, of a leathery text- ure, green in summer and bright crimson in au- tumn. Flowers much resembling Lily of the Yalley completely covering the branches and twigs. Ea. 25c., doz. A. japonica. A beautiful flowering shrub of low growth, bearing great panicles of lovely, droop- ing, bell-like blossoms; often called the Lily of the Valley Shrub, an appropriate name. It is perfectly hardy, and flowers profusely in any situation, no matter how poor the soil or how much neglected.
