Cadet Brandi Chung receives her pin for becoming one of the first five members qualified as a Diversity Peer Educator at the Coast Guard Academy, Feb. 27, Diversity Peer Educators are made up of cadets who volunteer to serve as the "go to people" for sensitive subjects like race, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity. The Diversity Peer Educators work to create an inclusive and embracing climate for cadets to discuss these subjects within the Corps.
