Domogled - Valea Cernei National Park, Romania: The primary beech forest in the Iauna Craiove complex has been included in the serial transnational UNESCO World Heritage Site "Ancient and primeval beech forests of the Carpathians and other regions of Europe". Tragically, large areas of similar primary forest disappears in the buffer zone due to intensive logging.
