The Arch of Triumph at dusk, Bucharest, Romania, Europe, EU
The Arch of Triumph (Arcul de Triumf or Triumphal Arch in Romanian), was built in 1935, modeled on the Arc de Triumph in Paris to commemorate the victory in WWI and was designed by the Romanian architect Petre Antonescu and decorated with carvings, engravings and ornaments by craftsman Ion Jalea, Comeliu Medrea and Constantin Baraschi. It replaced a wooden arch that was formerly erected in 1922 and it becomes one of Bucharest important landmarks, a spot for army parades on national holidays and Romanian favorite for commemorative spot for wedding photos, which become a Romanian lifestyle tradition in Bucurest, Bucuresti, Romanian, Rumania, Eastern, East, Europe, European, EU, euro, Balkan, country, countries, Union, United, Capital, City, town, cityscape, destinations, world, locations, history, historical, wood, replacement, stone, tall, high, sculpture, monumental, heritage, National, spot, junction, square, holiday sightseeing, tourism, vacation, panoramic, landscape, horizontal arch view with long boulevard seeing through the arch with lights and reflections, stripes, road markings, a lined perspective, dark blue sky, evening, night, background, postcard
