Food consists of a varie- ty of insects and other arthropods (Sharell 1966). Births occur from March to June following August—September matings (Dendy 1899; Rowlands 1981a; Hitchmough 1982b). Maturity is reached after 16—17 months and females give birth at about two years (Robb & Hitchmough 1980). Ontogenetic color changes have been noted in TV. grayii (Hitchmough 1982b).
