A secondflap was then made on the outside of the eye-ball in the same manner. In making the flaps,conjunctiva alone was taken, the subconjunc-tival tissue not being included. The two flapsthus made were then adjusted in their new situa-tion (see Fig. 72). The inner flap, B, was made to stretch across the rawsurface of the eyelid, being fixed by its apex to the healthy conjunctiva, atthe outer edge of the wound.
