BUTTERWORTH, John Addison, president of the Netherlands Missionfrom 1916 to 1920, was born Oct. 15,1882, at Mill Creek, Salt Lake Co.,Utah, a son ofWilliam J. Butter-worth and MelindaH. North. He wasbaptized Nov. 6,1890, became amember of the 61stQuorum of Seven-ty, and filled twomissions to theNetherlands, thefirst one in 1906-1909. His presi-dency, during his second mission, in-cluded three years of the World war,when only a small number of mission-aries from America were laboring inHolland, the majority having been.
