Everybody was completely cleaned out Mothers' day and growers have been kept busy stocking up the re- tailers. Prices dropped after" Arolhers' day. Koses now bring a good price, with Ophelia, Columbia and Dunlop as favor- ites. Carnations are in big supply, but the demand took everything oflfered last week. I^addie cleans up well at all times. Sweet peas are about gone, with the exception of some of the summer- flowering varieties, which are just com- ing on. Mothers' Day. Mothers' day was undoubtedly the greatest flower day in the history of Salt Lake City. Although prices were somewhat lower than last year, nearly every florist reports a larger volume of business than last year. Florists of Wait Lake City could not be accused of profiteering on carnations, as $3 per dozen was the highest price asked by any retailer and there was little kick from the public on prices. Good weather favored the growers until Friday, May 6, but rain Friday and Saturday held the cut down and many growers found
