This is the jib angle sensor unit of the Microguard 2 crane SLI (Safe Load Indicator) system made by Morganite Electronic Industries. The weighted pendulum turns the potentiometer as the crane jib angle changes, which is then processed to give an indication of the angle in the crane cab. The unit contains oil to dampen any spurious pendulum movement and vibrations.
