Thermogram of the back of a young boy suffering from chronic juvenile arthritis (Still's disease), showing resolution of inflammation in the right area (blue/green) following a steroid injection into the joint. A thermogram is a colour-coded image of heat distribution, in this case, over the surface of the body. Blue corresponds to the coolest areas, whilst green, yellow & red correspond to increasing steps in temperature. Compare with M110/233 which shows the inflamed joint before treatment, & M110/235, which shows the recurrence of symptoms 2 months later.
