He was oneyear superintendent of the poultry department, threeyears of the cattle department, six years treasurer, andis at present secretary of the association. He was ap-pointed a member of the Board of Agriculture in 1894,and has taken .a deep interest in the work of the Board. In politics Mr. Wadleigh is a Republican, and was arepresentative from the town of Tilton in the legislatureof 1893. In Sanbornton he was an active member ofthe First Baptist church. That he might enjoy a moreconvenient church home, after his location in Tilton, heunited with the Methodist Episcopal church in that place,of which he is at present treasurer, and is also superin-tendent of the Sunday-school.
