Air Force Tech Sgt. Travis Hyde, Air Forces in Europe Band euphoniumist, built relationships through music while participating in multiple events Aug. 18-24 throughout Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine’s 30th anniversary of independence. Among the many highlights performing in the USAFE Band, Hyde’s most memorable happened in Slovakia, when the crowd sang the Slovak version of “Happy Birthday” to him on his birthday before his solo with the band.
