ARABIAN GULF (July 13, 2017) A Scan Eagle unmanned aerial vehicle is launched from the flight deck of Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I) 15) in the Arabian Gulf. Ponce is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
