Siedov Class A ship during Tall Ships Races 2009 in Gdynia, Poland.
(wikipedia): The STS Sedov is a 4-masted steel barque that for almost 80 years was the largest traditional sailing ship in operation. Originally built as a German cargo ship, the Sedov is today a sail training vessel, training cadets from the universities of Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. She participates regularly in the big maritime international events as a privileged host and has also been a regular participant in the The Tall Ships' Races. My few cents. This year (2009), during mooring in Gdynia, accidentaly one of Sedov's cloths was totaly burned because of helium baloon flying around (probably left by some children spectators). To recompense the loss, the city of Gdynia bought brand new cloth for Sedov, and gave 440 buns to Sedov Crew.
