Production machinery within Clock House Brickworks, Capel, Near Dorking, Surrey, UK


The Clock House Brick Company which was founded around 1933 after the discovery of high-quality Weald Clay the the site sits on. Not having the best of starts due to lack of man power in the area and along with the second world war, the company was sold to the London Brick Company. In 1984 it was then acquired by Hanson. The site was closed when the bottom fell out of the construction market in 2008 since then it has become derelict.
