Entrance to the Parish church of St Michael in thl village of Blackawton in the South Hams district of church is a Grade 1 listed building.

The Parish church of St Michael in the small village of Blackawton in the South Hams district of church is a Grade 1 listed building. Historic England states that the church is generally well maintained but the tower masonry has needed urgent repairs and needs further work. The church dates from the 14th century. As with many such buildings it forms a centre for local residents, not just for their religious needs but also many other activities, both religious and secular. It is within the diocese of Exeter. The village and its church are within a designated conservation area.
