The seedsmen are unanimous in say- ing that this season's business is with- out doubt one of the largest in the his- tory of the trade. Now that the seed business is letting up a little, bedding plants, both vegetable and flower, are in big demand and sales are unusually heavy. John Murrell reports splendid busi- ness during the last three weeks. With- in that time he cut several thousand carnations. He has done a nice business in bedding stock and funeral work. His showroom has just been wired for elec- tric light. Cecil Lester, of Hart & Vick, Inc., spent Decoration day at Sodus bay with several other florists. Florists at Mount Hope cemetery have been as busy as could be during the last few weeks. Their stores were prac- tically jammed all day Sunday and it was not until just before the cemetery gates closed that there was a let-up. There was plenty of stock on hand. Miss Myrtle Bradstreet, well known among the uptown florists, was married to C. Imberry, of this city. May 31. Best wishes of the trade are extended to the happy couple. H. J, H.
