They travel best inwindy weather, for the trees arethen blown together, which en-ables them to get from one to another. The worst enemies of the sloths arethe harpy eagles, which fly at them and knock them to the ground, where theyare helpless. Some species of sloth have two toes, notably those in the West Indies,while those found in Central and South America have three TWO-TOED SLOTH. THE DUCK-BILL.
