Old artillery battery building and small fishing boats in Victoria Harbour, Dunbar. Scotland

The Artillery Battery on Lamer Island was built in 1781 after an American ship had attempted to raid the harbour. It is a red-sandstone structure with an open gun-platform to accommodate sixteen guns. Dunbar is a coastal town of the North Sea in East Lothian, Scotland. It has a small and active working fishing harbour that is also used by small leisure boats. The town is located about 30 miles east of Edinburgh, and 25 miles north of the English border.
