Medical laboratory at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, Ghana. The Insitute was established in 1979. It is a semi-autonomous facility of the University of Ghana. It is named after Dr Hideyo Noguchi, a Japanese researcher who died in Ghana while studying yellow fever in 1928. Research topics include HIV/AIDS, malaria, sickle cell disease and plant medicine.
