St George Reef Lighthouse located approx six miles west of Point St George, constructed for aid to shipping, Crescent City, Del Norte County, California, USA, North America, after eleven years of construction, the lighthouse began operation October 20,1892, standing 134 ft in height, at a cost of 704, 000. dollars. The original Fresnel lens weighing approx 5000 lbs., standing 7 ft. 10 in height, 6 ft. 1 in. diameter costing 15, 000 dollars. The lighthouse was decommissioned May 13 1975.
