Pakistani devotees gather near the shrine of Muslim Saint Hazrat Ali bin Usman Al-Hajveri, also known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, during the three-day annual 973 th 'Urs' or religious festival. Data Ganj Bakhsh was a Persian Sufi and scholar during the 11th century. He was born in Ghazni, Afghanistan (990 AD) during the Ghaznavid Empire and settled and died in Lahore spreading Islam in South event commemorates the death of Saint Hajveri who was born in the Islamic year 400 AH, over a thousand years ago in the 10th century era.
