28/10/22 Jeffrey Pietz, 59, from Ontario, Canada. nephew of Harold Kramer who survived crashing in ML295 in wartime France. A small batch of wrist-watches called ‘The Few’ are being made by The Great British Watch Company. The dial and hands of time-pieces are made using metal from the wing of a Spitfire which crashed in France in WW2. The aircraft, ML295, originally based at Biggin Hill, Kent has recently been restored. Today family members of the Canadian pilot who survived the crash came to Biggin Hill from Canada to fly in the, now two-seater, aircraft.
