During festival week, which was held here last week, there was great activity among the retailers. There was a big demand for stock and the supply equaled the demand. The heavy frosts the latter part of the week, however, cut off outdoor stock and wholesalers found it difficult to fill all orders. Prices stiffened. The shortage was too sudden, as not only was the outdoor stock cut off, but the greenhouse stock also suffered by the sudden change. The small quantity
